Privacy
OpenITS is a static documentation site with a privacy-first design. We collect no personal data to browse it, and we set no cookies.

The short version
This is a static website for an open standard. You do not need an account to use it, we do not sell or share data, and there are no advertising or cross-site tracking technologies anywhere on the site.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies. Because there are no cookies and no personal data processing that requires consent, there is no cookie-consent banner.
Analytics
If we enable analytics, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and privacy-preserving: it reports aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, countries) without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without storing personal data, so no consent banner is required. We deliberately chose it over cookie-based tools for this reason. Analytics is not active until the site is deployed to its production host.
Third-party resources
- Web fonts are currently served from Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com/fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser fetches the fonts, Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. We are evaluating self-hosting the fonts to remove this third-party dependency. - No other third-party scripts, trackers, embeds, or beacons are loaded.
What we don’t collect
We don’t ask for or store names, email addresses, or account details to browse the site. We don’t build advertising profiles. If you email us (for example, an accessibility report), we use your message only to respond to you.
